k&n airbox lid 400ex

i am running an open airbox right now and my 400ex is running perfect but i will eventually be riding in some waterways.....will the k&n airbox lid keep some of the water out ??

am i better off to cut the airbox lid and use the screen ? thanks!

Outwears lid works much better imho. I have one and it never gets wet in the box.
