How do Custom Axis triple rate shocks compare against the other shocks on the market?

About two years ago, Custom Axis was the standard by which all other shocks were judged. Now they are still running up front but they have alot of competition now.

They always treated me right. Heck the one time, i wanted a new spring for my back shock to switch to my dads quad, and they overnighted it to me, and didnt charge me.

Do Axis shocks lower the quad?

I see they do not have the zps type springs on them.

Can I ask what your frame ride height is (to bottom of footpeg mounts)?

Do you have a picture of your front setup.

My current setup with stock rear shock, and works front shocks is kind of annoying. My rear shocks seems to work fine, but the fronts want to "Spring back" when I land off a big jump. They have done this since I got them.

Phil,
Im running 8 inches in the back and about 8 1/2 up front. Which is pretty close to perfect in my mind. Try adjusting your rebound on the front shocks. Seems like its to fast. Slow it down 3-4 clicks

ummmm, i dont mean to bust on you but i think that is impossible if you have 6 inches of sag but your ride heigh is 8 inches. that would mean you have atleast 14 inches of travel or something close to it. and that is hardly believeable. i think you need to remeasure your sag because the most sag ive seen on an axis is like 3-4 inches tops. (i have 1 friend with 2 axis bikes and 1 with another.)

Axis makes some very good Shocks. I think they are one of the best out there for sure, if not the best. If you have the money, get them. I don't think their wait is to bad either...

it is impossible to have 6 inches of sag? Actually if u want me to be more accurate its about 5 3/4 sag. And im measuring from the frame rail to the ground. Thats not that unbelievable there bud. Most of the pros are running about 6 inches or sag as well. do some research and u will see that Yokley runs about 6 1/2 inches of sag, any maintains about 7 1/2 inches of uptravel.

I ordered the Custom Axis triple rates. Who can do my rear shock to match them?

axis wont work on any shock thats not an axis.... i would just save untill you can afford a new axis rear, or used, the rebuilds arent as good from what i hear
