depends on your mods and ridin style stage 1 is for a more stock motor and better for trails now that being said you can run them on a more mild motor as long as your a trail rider because they give more bottem to mid range power. but a stage 2 is good for a mild to heavier motor if you like to ride track or dunes becuase it adds mid to top range power stage 3 is all top end power and is mostly for a very built bike imho

I have a full exhaust, cdi rev box, uni filter, 15tooth sprocket, 170 main jet, 42 pilot jet and a wiseco 11 to 1 high compesssion piston. Any idea what would be better for my bike I ride trails and dunes and track?

well for your setup a stage 2 would be perfect . they work ver well with 11:1 pistons and still should be trail friendly.

I have a stage 2, my friend has a stage 1, same setup (in signature) save for mine is a 416 and his is a 407 (10ccs really dont matter imho).

Anyways, They are pretty dead even, I think I have more topend tho.

I have everything done to my 400 that is in my signature and it runs real good. If i ever drag raace it again i would like to bore it to a 416 or 426 because i dont have alot of top end and i need that extra power. But with that setup, i would run a stage 2 hotcam

IMO the stage 2 is the best all around cam for a 400ex with any mild motor work.

It opens it up depending on how much you get done. Really helped mine a good bit.

i myself am interested in a stage two hot cam, i have everything in signature and i was wondering if you can put in a stage two cam and do nothing else to a stock 400ex motor and have it run right

Yea you can put a stage 2 cam in a stock bike and it run good u will prob have to get a bigger main jet though stock is 142 prob have to go a little richer so the bike gets a little more gas the only stage u can't out in a stock bike is 3 that's for bored engines....you might be better off going stage 1 though if you don't have anything done but I don't know what you are going to put into it in the future.

Stage 2 would only be worth while if you planned to put a larger piston in that has a higher compression.

Friend of mine we put one in, to me it didnt have good power. Another friend had a stage 1 stock bike and it made much better power.

Stage 1 is for mostly stock, stage 2 is for modified engine.

I think if I did it again I would go with a stg2 or poss a web or magnum cam.. I have a stage 3, cam and can not do the super slow straight up and down wheelie like I could stock.. You def lose some down the bottom, off idle.. Upper low-mid,top hauls balls..
