Yuasa Battery

I seen in some post that the hayabusa battery was the same size as the 400ex battery so i brought one. i didnt check to see if the battery would fit until after i had charged it and realized its a little taller than 400ex battery and would not fit in the factory batttery box onside of the frame. Has anybody else had this problem and if so what did u do to make the hayabusa battery work?

maybe make some drop brackets so it will barely fit but not hit anything when your suspension is bottomed?

im still using factory battery box thats located on the side of my 2000 400ex. think i just might cut the top part of the box off so battery can side in.

You should take Pics and describe what all you have to do to this in case anyone else runs in to the same problem :P

Yep, here's a pic of the box. It fit perfectly in the plastic sleeve that slides over the battery, just like a stock battery for it.

I was unaware different years used different batteries-mine seems to be from an 05+ busa, # YT12A-BS

^^ im thinking that what maybe the problem with the battery i have. Its for a busa but just doesnt quite fit a factory 400ex battery box. i cant send it back so im do a little fabrication and make it work:)
