Can anyone with this frame tell me what you guys ran to put the front end together?I already ordered lt +3+1 laeger arms and fox evols.Im more interested with what kind of spindles the frame was designed for?I tried to talk to arlen at led formely from lrd he didnt have much insight and told me to talk to laeger.Laeger wasnt much help either. As far as ive come to find out the frame is a standard style 250r style, not a narrow front or cr500 link or no link.My concern is when i measure the front of frame, from the inner-upper a-arm bolt hole, left side.To the inner-upper a-arm bolt hole on right side I have about 1/2 inch wider than my brothers stock 89 frame. And 3/4 difference between inner, lower a-arm bolt hole,on left.To the inner, lower a-arm bolt hole on right. So it seems all together, when i put front end together i will be wider than a stock frame 89 250r width, with +3s.Am i wrong?Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. If you need to adjust the width you can go with 4-1 offset vs 3-2 offset to bring it in or vice versa to go further out.

If it's not a no-link, then it's basically a stock replacement frame, just made out of aluminum. There will be a number of things that aren't quite right on it vs stock because the tubing is so thick.

A couple members on here have them and can probably help you out.

Ya,i got my work cut out for me,but im real excited about it.Its my first r ,so i got alot to learn. It seems that most of these aftermarket frames are designed to run the 400ex spindles, from what i gathered and wondered if this one did too?

You are way over thinking it. Either 400ex or 250R will work.

No problems either way. They are not like the 04/05 vs 06 450R where a-arms are designed differently. The frames are all the same.

Unfortunately you are asking the wrong question. The a-arms are designed for specific spindles, NOT the frames.

You said you are going with Laeger, so you can go either. IF you were going with Roll design, they only use 400ex spindles, Walsh, probably lean more toward ex, but could be either. Most others are probably more 250R, but will work on either.

isn't the LRD frame a no-link?, 2 of my friends had one and they were no-link.

Those LRD frames could be ordered no link or stock link. Use 99-04 400EX spindles or 86-89 250R spindles with your Laeger arms. If your going to run MX or TT, 400EX spindles would be the first choice followed by 88-89 250R spindles. 86-87 spindles have more castor built into them, better for desert racing.
