400ex and xr400

Does any one know if the xr400 clutch basket will work in the 400ex?
The reason im asking the 400ex has 5 bolts and 5 springs that hold's the pressure plate, the xr400 has 6 that holds the pressure plate.
If they will interchange this would be a nice clutch set up for the guy at are having trouble geting there high power 400ex clutchies to hold.
Can some one that has done or try'ed this let me know the out come. Thanks EJRACING

I'm pretty sure that the basket is shorter.There is a post on here with someone doing a kick conversion to the 400ex and couldn't use the ex basket and clutch because it was to wide.
