Does anyone know of a good shop i can send my 400ex's head out to have the head shaved, i feel that it is warped ever so slightly and is causing a slight head gasket issue even with a sparks metal o-ring head gasket, and hd head studs, this is the first 400ex ive ever owned that has been problematic, i suspect the top end was overheated slightly because when i purchased it, it had a bad head gasket with the stock compression piston.

I would imagine any good machine shop could mill that pretty easy, as in a automotive shop..

Sadly there is no GOOD shop by me, the last one destroyed my 416 cyllinder and bored it completly out of round, at this point i i dont mind spending the money.to send it to a.good.engine builder

There has to be places to send it to here in NY.

Don't forget decking the head will change the timing. If too much is taken off, you'll need to get an adjustable cam gear.

does anyone know exactly how to check to measure the tolerances of the head surface? or what the specs should be within
