So I'm going to polish my nerfs and wheels before I put my quad up for sale and was thinking about using a Mothers Powerball. Has anyone had an experience with them? Do they work well? I also see they have the Powerball, mini powerball, and a powercone. Which one would you recommend using.

Thanks.

Tried one on a set of regular wheels and it just came apart. I prefer a cloth wheel like the flitz one

Sand them first with 800 or 1000 grit with water. That hit them with some good polish. It will look like chrome.

Alright sweet I'll have to try it. I was gonna wet sand and polish my plastics too I already have a buffer but figured if I can use the powerball for the wheels and nerfs too I might as well invest in one.

To polish metal I only use mothers metal polish, it comes in a small can like container and you use it and some fine steel wool ONLY working in one direction (no circles or it will show scratches). Works really well, just takes time and effort

the powerball mini is a handy little tool...... but be careful with it or you will tear it to pieces in no time! and make sure you keep plenty of polish on the surface or it will cause it to heat and it its just a mess..... and watch out for valve stems and bolts on beadlocks, they also arent friendly to one. i always use "blue magic" polish, its fairly reasonable as far as price and does a great job! good luck

The ball works good if the aluminum is not totally oxidized.. If your just looking for a shine up, yes it does work good. It is not going to bring a dull piece back to a mirror shine..

powerCONE for sure. has lasted waaaay longer than the ball for me. i use it on my truck wheels with simulated beadlocks too, so i know it can take a beating... they ate a powerball in one use.
