2Bros, 2003-07 M7 slip on, On a 2001?

Later next month im going to be buying a 2Brothers M7 slip on for a 03-07 model, Was just woundering if you guys think that I will need to bend the pipe at all to fit my 01? or should it just bolt up and go.. Looks the same to me...Thye dont sell this pipe for the 01 and want it

pretty sure it will bolt right up 99-05 there were no changes so i dont understand the 03-07 thing but ya the pipe are the same on all years iirc lol

yea, that is weird that they are listed for 03-07. doesn't make much sense, but yes it will fit. i had an M7 for a short period of time and i would have kept it if i didn't have plans for my duals.

Well I called Honda to Double check if they had changed there exhaust for the 400ex he said from 99-06 its the same, so i called Two Brothers and explained that they didn't change anything about the exhaust system form 99-06 and asked why they have it listed for 03-07 he then told me really the only reason that they didn't list it to fit 02 Back was they personally havent had the bike in front of them to check and make sure everything fit correctly... so in my mind that means that it 100% with out a doubt should fit 99-07 400EX :)

yep 400ex's haven't changed any except for reverse and the plastic design. You should be fine.

If im not mistaken the Plastics didnt change from 01-03 did they?
Cause i was thinking maybe if they had changed the pipe might get a little close to my plastics somehow...

There are three versions of the 400EX/X plastic:

'99-'04
'05-'07
'08-present

Ok thats good, the only other thing I was worried about was the pipe might of been a little closer to the plastics on the 01 than the 03 but there the same so no problem there, ok yeah so its bolt and go.

I think it will fit. The hanger on the silencer is not a fixed hanger. I also have mine mounted to a FMF Powerbomb header. Check the stock header numbers and see if it is different and also check the sub-frame and see if they are the same. I still think it will fit.

The Whole Exhaust system matches up, Exact same number, and sub frame is exact same numbers a well.
