I just got a 2005 crf 250r. it ran decent when i bought it but needed a few things. i checked the vavles and the one intake valve is on the smallest spacer and is ready to cup but still working as of now. it had a pro circuit slip on. I just put a new full yosh system on. i then started it up and it bogs down every time i try to start moving. do i just need to tune it or could it be the vavle? thanks

I had an 04 that ran great till I put a full system and didn't jet it. You will need to rejet from the sounds of it. Mine had a bog and would not run at all when I went to take off and would hardly start either. My valves were in spec too. I also threw in a different leak jet and a guy did some sort of wire mod you can do to these carbs.

Yeah I can't remember what I put in there. I did have those exact symptoms though. I wish I could remember the mod he did to that carb. The thing had great throttle response after that. I'm sure if you search a bike forum you can find what you need there.

Did he tie the throttle cable mechanism to the acelerator pump arm? That is a popular "mod" with YFZ450's. The "zip tie mod"

I believe that is right. He called it the wire mod so i'm assuming he just wired them together. It really helped out a lot on throttle response.

i took my carb to kb5 and they did a mod on it...think it involved grinding off a tab but im not positive...got it rejetted too...hopefully it works
