Yes it is worth it just make sure to wrap it thick and tight. if you wrap it thin and loose it will look like crap and burn right off.

When you first start the bike, the header wrap is going to smoke a little bit but that's just cause it has never had heat to it before after the first time it smokes you should be good after that.

I soak it in water before wrapping it, you can get it wrapped tighter. When you start the bike, it dries the wrapping, making it tighter. Some wrap it, then put this hi-temp spray paint on it and it locks it in and it lasts longer before it starts tearing. Typically I start to wrap it at the header(front), put a hose clamp around it, wrap it back, hose clamp at the end and some pieces of wire several places along it, in case it starts to tear, it won't rip the whole thing off.
