u can use a 400ex, 450r, or a 250r thumb throttle with a 250r and a pwk38, right? just want to check first.....what has the lightest pull?

Moose/Terry cable billet works but the bushings wear out causing it to hang up and is not the lightest pull FYI. Looks good enough for 2hp BTW.

400ex is the way to go imo

I can't remember if I had a 400EX or a 300EX throttle, but it didn't work properly. Yes, it worked, but it had shorter throw than the stock 250r throttle, so you had to grind out an area inside the housing to get a full throw and open your carb all the way.

The second issue was the way the cable mounted caused a lot of slack in the cable, so much that there wasn't enough adjustment to get rid of it completely. So not only did the throttle not pull as far, but part of that pull was just slack and not actually lifting the carb slide.

It "worked" in the sense that I could indeed bolt it on and ride my quad, but it only opened the throttle about 90%.

I use a TRX450R throttle housing, works great. Has a nice, tension pull. :)

the 250r has a longer pull then most thumb throttles so what ever one you use hook up to carb and see if the slide opens all the way, because i have had to modify 400ex/450r/ and even the chariat billet one for the pwk carbs
