what brake

what other rear brake will fit the 99-04 400ex?

fronts or back eric? i have heard the yfz back works for the back but cant confirm it. it seems like the fronts also work on the spindles but again, i havent tested it. just seems like i read it a while back.

450 stuff will work with the corresponding spindles for the fronts and the carrier and such for the back which is a pain

250r would be the same

at least they are all dual piston ones

i would try to look into the yfz stuff though, that would be your best bet i think.

if its the fronts the yfz 450 will mount right up on the stock spindles and is a nice improvment b/c it is a dual piston caliber. i have done it myself and it is great.

but i do not know if the rear mount up

I think the rear will only work with 450R brakes. And you have to use the 450s rotor and hub. 250R will work also but its not a dual piston so you don't gain anything. The 450 setup you gain alittle ground clearance and dual pistons.
