The 250ex was left in storage for about a month and a half with the kill switch accidentally turned on.(to the left). When we went to get it back,it wouldn't turn on. We jump started it and it turned on but if you let go off the gas it would turn off. I thought maybe the battery just needed to be charged and ridden for a while. I rode it for a while and turned it off and it fired up again. The next day I went to turn it on and the light turns green, but when you press the power button it dims and makes a noise. It then kills the battery and you have to jump start it again. What can be the problem?Battery..?or maybe needs to be charged 24 hrs.?
thanks

sounds like the battery sometimes you can add new acid to them (from auto parts store) and do a slow charge and it brings them back. Also be carefull when jumping off with a car battery as the amps can fry the electrical on the atv if you do jump with a car battery dont have the car running.

You might have to buy a new battery. Did you leave the key on? Just leaving the kill switch on won't make the battery go down.

I would just change out the battery. If you jump it and it runs then it restarts. then it sits a day and no start sounds like battery.
I picked 1 up from AutoZone for $45 filled with acid let sit and charge then go ride.

would changing the battery be the only option?

You could try charging it but with cold weather coming I would put a new one in.

I just toke time to look over all the electrical stuff and i found out that they problem was that the battery had a thin layer of discharge.I removed it and the quad turns on at first try.
Thanks for the help
