So I'm kinda frustrated. I got a new bearing carrier and bearings. Well now I've noticed that my axle nut is really lose, Last ride I got it as tight as I could and half way through the ride I noticed it was lose again. So are there any tips on how to keep the axle nut tight?

Wrap it in electrical tape, and it will be tight until you need to take it off.

^^ Yep electrical tape is almost like having one of those anti fade nuts.

Electrical tape works great... Don't use loctite, the treads are to fine on the axle nut and you'll make a mess if you can ever get it off again.

Blue Loctite is fine to use but the red requires heat to remove.

but just a couple drops of blue on nice clean threads works fine, just make sure when removing the locknut to clean the old locktight before reasembling

but I do keep some tape in my tools just incase .. i just dont like the way tape looks, but I will use it before ruining something,

Never had issues with blue loctite. Trick is to tighten it up, go for a ride and bring the wrenches with you or somnething and re-tighten it.

I got so sick of the nut never staying tight, I just spent the $50 to get the Rad lock nut, well worth the investment. Never had an issue with it. Sold my quad and moved it to my buddies 04, it was on that bike and never moved an inch until the day it was sold to a pro-am racer.
