wheel spacers??

I have a 2000 400ex and was wondering if wheel spacers are worth the investment and if so what brand is the best? Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Ha, um well I dont know much about them, just from reading here and there on here, ALOT of people dont like them, I guess they have a problem of breaking? And If im correct they dont like fliping the rims? Best and safest thing would be to buy extended A-Arms and Axel But that is a little bit of $$$

I could be compleatly wrong about all of that and sorry if I am but to the best of my understanding that ^^ is all true...
