Thanks for your reply. However, I have a couple more questions.
1. My son weighs about 105 lbs. Do you know how these can be adjusted for his weight?
2. Which Elka model is this shock, Stage 1, 2 etc?

Yes it can be set for whatever weight. I have a local shock builder who could do it for you. Or you could try it first and send it to be changed if you didn't like it.

It's compression and preload adustable, so I think that is a stage 2. I think stage 3 has rebound adjustment, and stage 4 has high/low speed rebound etc.
