Gas prices, paid 3.39/gal for regular and it took 70 bucks to fill my truck. Wish I had put the pos car I got on the road instead of junking it a year ago (it was pretty beat tho). Gas is killing me, 200+ miles a week and my tank only does 320-350 @ about 70/every week and half thats alot of cash

Wish my quad wasnt in pieces now due to a worn out cylinder

Wish school were easier, seems this semesters gonna suck with the amount of workload I have.

Yeah for good as far I understand. Everytime we were there a lot people paid extra to ride that track, they had to be making money from it I really don't understand it. :confused:

If you understood the amount of money it takes to maintain a track you would probably cry... Making money off of a track usually doesn't cut it. The track owners typically go more in the red every year unless they have Nationals there multiple times a year. We go through tracks all the time here in missouri, its just how the game works.

I knew Kyle from his days at Paragon Adventure Park in Hazelton, PA. I didn't realize he bought a restaurant too.

One thing I can promise you about Kyle Knosp...if he was making money from the mx track, it would remain open. Trust me, he's calculated the operational costs for keeping it going versus the revenue he gets from the riders of the track. He isn't going to "goodwill" income from the 4X4s just to keep the track open if it isn't covering its own costs.

you got it, i know i need to move on. something just says it may work still as we are both away at school and she is very busy. its not an excuse though imo, if she wanted to really be together i think she would put some effort into talking to me. either way, im sure you are right, it wont get better. something inside says to hold out until xmas break, i want to try to get together with her over xmas to do some snowmobiling and skiing. if she wants to do that, it would be good. if not, then i know how she feels for sure.

time to move on i think, now i just have to convince myself. i have been trying to do it for a week or so now, its easier said than done...

It was def a great day to get out and enjoy the fall U.P. colors around the peninsula. 120 miles and dinner was well worth the 50 bucks to spend some time with my lady friend who i havent seen for quite a while.

the usual texting deal blows too... really bums me out. man i just wish i would hear back from her. every day i get closer to throwing in the towel and really do not want to do that. she is worth trying for at this point even if she doesnt respond at all. maybe some day she will.

time to get back to doing something semi-productive i guess, times a wasting and theres more to do tomorrow.

Practice what you preach man. It just might work out for you. If not, just play it off and separate yourself from her for a little bit. I met a different lovely lady over the summer but havent talked to her for a while because of school. i think im going to try it... i have nothing to lose i suppose. i havent heard anything from the one i care about in over a month. im just going to ask what her thoughts are and see if she plans to do anything over christmas or something and see what happens.

now i just have to decide how i should ask. texting has been the only means of me saying hi to her every day for the last month, i guess maybe ill text her. the odds of either an email or a text working are slim and a phone call doesnt seem to fit yet... a call would def be better but if she will answer the phone is a different story.

I feel your pain Steve, I did the whole friends with benefits thing with a girl for about a year. We ended up moving in together and dated for the next 4 and a half years. She called it quits last week. No matter how willing you are to change things or make them better, she doesnt want to. Its a pretty helpless feeling. Some say that begging for forgivness and trying to talk to them all the time will make it worse. They say you should give them space and all but ignore them and she will start to realize what she is missing. I don't know if thats true, but I am in the same boat as you, she wont even text me back so I have no option but to follow the road I'm currently on.

Its hard to understand why she can't text back when a simple "yes" or "no" would suffice.

on the bright side, i got some more work done on my scd project today! it is coming along nicely.

Been there and done that myself. In the end, I am so glad we didn't connect. I would have spent my life trying to keep this girl happy...it would have been super high maintenance and made me miserable. Let it go. You are better off wearing the pants in a relationship...or at least having one leg of it. You are nothing but a crutch for her when all else fails. Even if you did end up dating her, I doubt you'd win her over. More likely, she would be waiting for a better opportunity and would ditch you in a heartbeat. :( The one thing you could do is try to get her drunk and hope for some mercy sex. :devil: At least you'd know you got to sleep with her once. Sadly, I never got that far. I was too worried about not ruining any long-term chance I had with her. If I had it to do over again, I would go for the one night stand even if she never talked to me again. :p

Have you asked her out officially/told her you have feelings for her? Like straight up, not dropping hints. If not I would suggest doing that before giving up. If you don't you will regret it later on for sure. Giving up is more disappointing than rejection.

she knows how i feel i think. the problem is school is in the way and she wants to stay focused. when we were hanging out she was just out of another relationship and wasnt ready for another one. instant friend zone placement for the time being... well it is 2 months later in a few days which really doesnt seem that long but i havent actually heard from her for about a month.

i think i probably drove her off a bit with texting her even though she said it was cool that i said good morning and good night. that was the plan when we were talking about it. id go a couple of days max without texting her a nice good morning or good night with a compliment attached. that was all though, nothing serious or out of the ordinary.

Yeah, the first year of the Denali, it was still the Suburban, before GMC changed over to the Yukon name. Mine started out as just a standard 4*4 Burb though....



Side note, ran the Honduki for about 45 minutes of run time in ocala national forest, and realised I should have used more lock washers. Freakin muffler flew off 3 times LOL. Then, the brand new idle screw that I paid 60 bucks for, got spit out again..... Should have just thrown money in the woods!!! It runs really dang strong though, loads of power, smokes a little heavy. I'm hoping there isn't a leak from the gearcase into the crankcase...

First Off i'm at a dead end job that actually pays ok. What's the problem you ask? Problem is I don't get paid sick leave vacation time or paid holidays. so if I miss a day i'm SOL. So I haven't had a vacation in 3 years, and it's starting to show through, thinly masked by my sarcastic personality. I have become unaware of my sarcasm because of it.
I'm looking for another job, but it's hard finding a job that pays as well as my current one. on top of that my wife is threatening me by saying were going to move if i don't find a new job soon.
On top of that we are having another child in march.
On top of that She wants me to sell my jeep to accomidate 2 or more children.
On top of that she wants me to buy a vehical that gets better than 30 MPG, can fit a circus in back, Has less than 20,000 miles on it. All that for under 10,000, is that even possible? Oh yeah, it has to be able to haul a trailor, or i have to sell my ATV.
Other than that it's pretty damn nice outside.

Oh you guys are gonna love this one. In order to finish my quad i needed 2 things.

1. Rings for my piston
2. the clutch arm spring that sits in my right case cover.

I got on motosport and looked and they had the clutch spring in stock but not the rings. I wanted to get them at the same place so i didnt have to pay $8 shipping on a $3.99 clutch spring. So i called my local atv guy (last thursday, the 29th) told him what i needed, he said alright total is $39 plus shipping is $5.. I said "ok sounds great, when will my parts come in" Atv guy, "Well the rings will come in tomorrow but that clutch spring has a 10 day wait, so it wont be till Monday October 10th until I even get it at my shop, but dont worrie i already ordered it since i know you pretty well and i knew you wouldnt tell me to order something then not buy it."


WTF!! Lol im not blaming my atv guy, he meant well, but i just missed out on a week of riding because a freaking $3.99 clutch spring, that i could have got off motosport and i would have had my quad done by monday!

Update.

Well, we had a busy couple days here. Just finished refinancing our home mortgage. That will save us $170 a month
Traded my Jeep in on a brand spank'n new 2012 Scion XB which will cost the same per month as I was paying on the jeep. That helps by double my fuel mileage. That's a potential savings of $100 + per month
My Roth IRA is continually losing money. So I decided to close the account. socked away 1,500 to pay the tax penalty for closing the account.
Paid off my wifes car, that will save me $280 a month
Paid off our credit card. that will save us $ 200 + a month
Paid off my student Loan. that will save us $150 a month
Not done yet, but thats a total monthly saving of $900+
With that I'll be able to save some money and re-invest in something more agressive than my roth IRA. By eliminating Half of our large monthly bills, I think we'll be able to breathe a little bit better.

Yah man that whole table was super sketchy, my link caught the face of the jump, kicked my sideways at like a 30 degree angle, and the ball jont snapped on impact.. Meh, I'm not to bad. muscle in my back is numb still and my knee is the size of a grapefruit.. I was more concerned with the bike..

It was the first time i've actually crashed hard like that. I didnt see any cracks in the plastic, couple gouges though.. I can't beleive it snapped the stem but didnt bend the bars like a pretzel?

I will start off by saying that I just got out of a 5 year relationship about a month and a half ago. I haven't completely gotten over it and probably never will. A couple weeks ago I started going out again just to meet new people. I'm obviously not looking for a relationship, just simply looking for some new friends and man is the female race a mysterious thing. I've been out of the game so long I get half nervous just trying to talk to women, let alone pretty ones. Its crazy how another human of the opposite sex can make us "manly men" act and feel so funny.



The whole drinking and going out subject can get a little misunderstood, in my opinion. I'm 22 years old and I do enjoy going out and drinking. I wouldn't consider my self a heavy drinker, as I only drink on the weekend ( Friday and/or Satruday night). I do not drink during the week or if I have work the next day. Going out to the bar and having a good time takes your mind off all the everyday BS like school, work, money ect. More often than not it's more of a big social gathering with a lot of people you don't know. I think a lot of people just think a bar is what they see on tv, a bunch of sloppy drunks getting into fights.

Just because you don't drink doesn't mean you can't go to the bar and have fun. Many a time I have been the nice guy and played DD for my buddies. You Still can have a good time not drinking, you still can meet the ladies, and on top of it all you are helping your friends out.

Back in highschool I would always just surround myself with all my buddies, man that was all you needed to have a great time and not have a care in the world. Heck I'm still just a young pup and hanging out with all of my buddies is still one heck of a time, I just find my self longing for more. ive been single for a year and a month now. the first 8-9 months were great. dont get me wrong, it is nice to be single still. it is nice to come and go as i want, not have a laundry list of things to do with her when you get home for the weekend after a busy week at school, and its nice to get on a machine and go without having to do something else first because she needs it. after a while you start to miss the warmth and having someone to talk to and hang with.

it sucks going to dinner by yourself too. the looks you get are just unreal...

all i know is that one day ill finally find someone that wants to do the same things, wants to get treated like a woman, who doesnt act fake, and isnt stuck on herself.

i guess in the mean time, ill stay holding doors, giving compliments, and enjoying the scenery from afar. lol

Interaction is good and all, but trust me the reason many of us dont have girls is were nice guys. Im a nice guy and dont get the girls, my brothers a jackarse and they flock to him without much work at all.

Trust me when I say this too: The guy wearing wranglers, workboots and mechanics jackets and or carhartts who smells like outdoors, grease/oil or whatever and drives the pick up truck (me lol) isnt exactly what they are interested in either. Specially when someone like me lives in an area with people from NYC who basically try and emulate that stupid jersey shore show. Specially when my idea of a good time is going out mudding or quading, and theres is shopping at the mall or going to some tgi fridays bar. I've had a GF for 3 years now, but I still go out pretty much every weekend. I dont try to get with the girls, I just chill with my buddies and get wasted.

What I've found; If you ignore them, they like it and will usually try and talk to you. Now because I have a GF, I dont act all nice to them and buy them a drink, I usually chirp them (with sarcastic remarks) to keep them off their high horse. If they think YOU don't like THEM, they'll wonder why, Right?

My buddies are all single, so when they are trying to pick up girls, they usually end up talking to me because I'm the least interested, or maybe it's because I ususally REAK like my screen-name ;) (usually kicked out at around closing time for blazing on the patio, or even inside, HAHA! kind of my trademark. They light the bar on fire at a bar in Ottawa when somebody tips more than 5$, once lit a blunt off the bar, best panty remover move i ever did.)

I HATE it when girls hit on me.. My #1 pet peeve.. I def. let them know it too, lol.

I'm not a player by any means, but I think it's funny how the female population acts around guys. Especially since I've been on the outside for 3 yrs now..

Moral of the story.. Be a DICK. I'm not a dick either, qctually I'm a notorious nice guy, but I have no interest in those females.. makes it a whole lot easier.

In all honesty, I was chasing my current gf for a few months, she was kind of toying with me, and a few other guys. (i don't think she wanted to be exclusive yet, I was in school 5 hours away and only home once every two months.)

I had all but given up on her, then the next weekend I was home from school, she really tried to talk to me, but I blew her off. Then at the end of the night she saw me with my arm around another girl I was interested in.. My phone blew up with her messages the next day ;)

Sounds like depression and anxiety. I went thru it a few years ago. I totally lost interest in anything I loved to do. I didnt want to get off the couch for anything. I didnt want to leave the house neither. This lasted about a year. People kept telling me I was crazy, that there was nothing wrong with me, etc. I finally made myself get up and do stuff and eventually started feeling "normal". It kept trying to come back a few times, but I made a point to take my mind from it. It was a really rough time. I wouldnt wish it on anyone. Good luck to you.

absolutely nothing here.

went for a great offroad ride in my explorer tonight and got some great pictures to start the offroad weekend i have planned.

We got water in our project for SCD today and it doesnt leak too bad. fixed one earlier today and im going to fix the other ones tomorrow. only need two check valves and plumb them in and it is finished. we have to do some testing with it and then put the done stamp on it.

Cars having trouble starting somthing with the fuel supply. Got it running and it's straight pipe so it's a little loud but sounds a lot like a turbo dodge viper just less deep at high rpm. Got disorderly conduct for starting it and letting it run for less than 2 mins at 9pm. Total bs!!! :mad: The neighbor said I had it running 2 hours when the EXACT amount of time was 1 min and 40 secs video proof!

have an atv club meeting tomorrow night that i dont want to go to since i am resigning from the board because i am too busy to make it to meetings and dont have gas money to drive there and back to go to them.

it is going to be a busy week at school sincew we have to finish our testing on the project and have to modify our poster, but we have to do the testing first so we can work on the poster after to record our findings from the tests.

going home for the weekend is slipping further and further away as the day goes on and i find more stuff i have to do this week.

relaxation is over for the weekend... probably should have done more this past week. i knew that was going to catch up to me this week after not doing much.

the list goes on and on....


on the bright side, it was a nice day yesterday and i have my scd stuff organized for the week. the project will be completed this week after 10.5 months of working on it!!! WOW that is going to be awesome!

oh boy... gonna be a busy week.

it can be a yamaha one also as long as it is a series 26 pilot you will be good to go. all of my jets are from my local yamaha dealer lol. My honda dealer doesnt carry anything.

I spent 4 years and way too much $$ in college to get two degrees and wind up working at the local walmart because its the only open position i can find because the crappy economy in my area (lost 3 of 5 factories, 1 in bankruptcy and the other laid off 150 odd employees since summer) resulting from a string of lying politicians. Oh, and I'm part time on nigts to boot...... and I've been up for 20 hours now.

I'm thinking of making a trip to my local recruiter just to see how much he laughs at me too.
