Heys is it trues that the 400ex will not start in gear if so let me no all right


Nad if it doesnt thats preatty gay and that a domb design

pull in the clutch...

or u can tape 2 wires together and u dont' even need to pull in the clutch but its really hard on the motor.....

arghh! you beat me to it!

anyway, if it wont start in gear for ya, there is a small black box on your clutch perch. there are 2 wires that go into it. if either of the wires are disconnected, it wont start in gear. also, there is a little metal thing on the black box that hits the base of the clutch lever. if there is some dirt in there, it can't complete the electric circuit, and it won't work...

I was wondering because if you go to the suzuki and click on the z400 and compare it to other quads it said that the 400ex wontstart in gear.

it can start in higher gears if the clutch is in just like any other quad.
