Which pipe?
HP specs and whatnot that kinda stuff.
Need it to go along with head porting, FCR39, and 426 kit and the mods below. Which of those 3 pipes would be tha best?

I would say you can't go wrong with the Sparks, LRD, Duncan, or Hetricks...

I would say put the Hetricks in the mix and go with what you think looks the best to you and the best buy.

LRD is at the top of my list right now because evnetually im going to have them do my motor work.

but i have looked into the TC and i kinda want a bigger pipe for more top end power.

One of my friends that i ride wit all the time has the sparks so i dont really want that as much as the others.

I havent heard much about the CT
and i have raced a bike with Hetricks and was not that impressed.

ive heard the LRD is loud which i dont really care about how loud it is as opposed to performance.

keep the possabilities coming in
thanx

i am going with LRD because of the cost. sparks is an awesome pipe by far but alot of money and i cant get one cheap enough right now

I'm not sure if I would suggest the Sparks though because I have only had it for a month or so and it is already starting to rust. I take excelent care of my pipe and my entire quad and it is rusting fast. I guess I'm gonna have to get it coated pretty soon which kinda sucks since the pipe was so damn expensive in the first place.

Go with LRD. Nice power, nice sound, good looks and very well built. I love mine.

What do you guys think about the Sparks x-4? I hear its for bottom end mostly which soudns about right, but if im planing on going to a 416 or 440, this pipe could still work right?

This is not getting any easier!!! :blah
I really like the ceramic LRD with black silencer. I still may do that yet!!

Is the 4 stroke LRD exh adjustible like the 250r pipes are?

Acording to the last shoot out I say the Sparks put out the most power...

I wouldn't get the x-4 if I was you especially if you are planning on boring in the future. Personally I have raced a lot of different quads like raptors, z400's, and dales and none of them can beat me off the line because the 400ex already has a ton of low end power so I would say that more power is deffinatly needed in the mid to upper range of the powerband and that is what the x-6 gives you. I would go with the x-6 unless all you do is trail ride and even then I'm not so sure.

I don't know what to say. You know me and you saw how clean I kept my quad but it is starting to rust after only a month. Maby I just got a crappy one or something but it really sucky to have a brand new 500$ pipe with rust on it.

My friend got one the exact same time as me and his is doing the same. I think it is a great pipe but this is very discouraging. All I can assume is that Pismo is really rought on our quads with the salt water and all. I keep it covered with a tarp every night in Pismo and we wash our quads from top to bottom the seccond we get home from Pismo and I payed extra attention to the muffler but still the rust attacked my pipe. I don't know what else to do. You dont have any on yours? It isn't severe yet but the end cap is rusting around the weld and im getting little red speccles all over the pipe not the silencer but the rest of the pipe.

my friends raptor did that and he didnt know the problem until he figured that into the picture

Ok now its back to LRD as my first choice.
I have never actually heard the CT or LRD in person.

anyone know a website with sound clips???

The four stroke LRD pipe is not adjustable like the two stroke, but its still a great buy.

It sounds really good, it has a deep bark to it that lets everyone kow your coming. It is too loud if you work for the forestly department, tickets for sound suck, but oh well the power is worth it.

I would get the LRD. The Sparks is nice, but more expensive. Don't hear or know much about the CT...

if ur worried abt rust get the stainless instead of the ceramic
