trx250r with 400ex motor in it?

Yes, but it was a bad idea. It's like putting a work truck engine in a rare version of a corvette.

well i dont track ride, all i do is trail ride, ditch and field every now and then

I think I have seen it done before, should not be that hard because the 400ex and 250R frame geometry are pretty much the same. Except for motor mounts and such.

But most people I see have the 450R motor in the 250R and boy do they win a lot of championships with them bikes!

Unless you have a really ridiculous amount of money into your quad with suspension mods and all kinds of goofy stuff, or you have access to somebody that REALLY knows how to do engine conversions (like, has already done at least five of them) PLUS you also have a free 400EX engine, I'd really advise against it.

I just think you'd be much happier selling your quad and getting a complete 400EX.

That's some pretty bad logic, if you ask me.

Your motor doesn't run so instead of replacing it or rebuilding it or fixing it, you'd prefer to spend a few hundred bucks converting to a motor that doesn't belong and then buy a new motor, exhaust, carb, electrical, battery, oil tank etc and spend maybe as much as you could buy a complete 400ex for?

No. Im not going to i was just seeing what everbody said. If its good then id do it. But i guess its not. So me and a. Friend are gonna rdbuild the entire thing this winter
