300ex front shocks on 250r?

Im working on lowering my 250r and was wondering if 300ex shocks would work prety good?. ive done some searching on here and found that some people have used blaster shocks and modified the top mount to lower the front end a great deal. im not really doing any jumping so im not too worried about the lower performance shocks. and body know if 300ex and blaster front shocks are close to the same length?

I've tried them before if I remember correctly they actually made the quad so low that the a-arms were angled up going out if that makes sense.

if it does work, i have some works shocks with rezzies for a 300ex i would sell.
