ok so my buddy bought a east cost carrier for his ex and its to short he say he dosent have enough room to put the hubs and crap on . correct me if im wrong but did they send him a 450r carrier or what ?

the carrier should have no effect on the wheel hubs so im guessin you mean the brake hub, correct? once the carrier is in the swingarm is he able to ge the stay plate and snap ring on it?? Some pics of where he is havin the issue would help a bunch but im not sure how much difference there is between the R and EX carrier

B&B2 is right if he can get the stay plate and snap ring on install that's the end of the carrier install.

you might be right. I'm pretty sure I've read on here somewhere that the R carrier is shorter. my lonestar one for a ex, its 7 1/2in. hope that helps.

The 450r carrier is slightly shorter where it goes inside of the swingarm. You can put a 400ex carrier in a 450r but not the other way around.
