Does anyone know if I would need another support tube on the back side of the frame where I made the new upper shock mount. Would I have to much stress on the new mount without a tube that goes from side to side to keep the flex out of my frame?

I would look at the new walsh hybrid chassis. You have enough room to do a cross bar setup like they did and it would also help support the upper subframe mounts too.

I'm almost done with my build. I think it worked out pretty nice.

You from somewhere in Europe? Only reason I ask is cause the nicest hybrids seem to be coming from over there lately...Its an awesome looking bike goodwork!

I'm from Holland, Europe yes.. And we are still allowed to ride hybrid so everyone is doing that, because in the end it is less expensive riding a hybrid, and with the bike engines you have good power that is reliable.

Nice work. Looks like it came from Suzuki. Any idea how much weight it lost from stock? How's the power compared to before?

Suzuki would be smart to offer this.
Very cool.
I would buy one.

@frankmb

I come from Germany next to you. As far as I know, Ingo Ten Vregelaar is riding the same conversion (LTR with RMZ engine). Do you have the same quad like Ingo. Did you build it of your own or is it possible to buy such a hybrid somewhere in the Netherlands?

I need to weigh it, I will try to do that tomorrow. And @ Nahum, It is a compromise between the build of Ingo and Joe Maessen. I build the bike with sprockets in line, were ingo uses spacers, and I use the original airboot and box that is what ingo also uses, but Joe doesn't he makes custom parts for his build. But I know that you can build this kind of conversion from Joe Maessen. The only differences with his and my bike are:

I use the original:
airboot and box
RMZ harness that are hardly modified
RMZ fuel pump
Walsh Swingarm with modified pivot
stock linkage and stock rear shock mounting points

Joe uses:
Different airboot and airbox adapter
ltr fuel pump system
modified harness
stock modified swingarm, and modified linkage
Different rear shock mounting point.

And Ingo is in between my and Joe's bike.

If you have any questions, just ask

I weighed it, and my old ltr with kickstart weighs: 410 lbs or 186Kg and my LTR RMZ weighs: 385 lbs or 175 Kg. Quite a difference in my opinion.
