I have works front shocks on my 400. I like them, but they squeak so bad sometimes. Is there a way to stop this BS without somehow damaging the shocks? thanks

you can try spraying the area that squeeks with some wd-40. Or grease all of your pivot points periodically.

You can also use a lilthium grease. It won't wash off as easy as WD-40 will.

Anti-seize works wonders.Sometimes WD-40 has a tendency of making squeaks even worse. Just my opinion

I usually use WD-40. Also, are you sure it's your shocks themselves? It could be the bushings at each end OR your ball joints are out. They squeek everytime you shift your weight or get on or off of the quad. If they are you can poke a tiny hole with an awl in the boot and shove the tube of the WD-40 can into the hole and squirt some into it. It's not the best way to do it but it works.

If its a ball joint or a tie rod get a grease needle and fill them with grease. I do ours and they last 10 times longer. They don't put alot of lube in them to begin with. That way they will wear out quicker and you will have to buy more. We get more sqeaks from the side of the bushing rubing on the shock mount.

With Works shocks, it's usually the aluminum crossover rings behind the springs that become squeaky, typically after you wash and dry the quad. I like to give these a light spray with a teflon lubricant like Triflow, but WD-40 will work too, just not as well.

Yeah, my front end squeaks sometimes.

It is all the moving points rather than the shocks. Penetrating oils seem to work a while.

I also have a seat latch that squeaks because it is worn out. I have found out that the black graphite spray stuff works a long time on that.

I have actually considered taking my front end apart and coating stuff with it and putting it back together. I bet if there is a really water resistant version of it that it would do well.
