I was gonna do a 313 kit from Powroll but I just don't have the money for it and don't have lots of places to ride, so I think I'm gonna go for the 76mm/.80 bore kit.

I still have to split my cases cuz I'm transferring to a new block, as it is cracked and leaking badly, so I need the gaskets for that, but how much will this project cost me? Here's what I'm looking to do:

1. Swap transmission to new block (already have block)

2. 76 mm bore kit (rings, gasket, etc.)

3. Actual boring to cylinder

4. Hot cam & new chain

5. Should I bother with the valves and springs? Engine was good running before tear down.

I have a manual and everything so no problems there. I noticed my new block will not accept the reverse setup because the holes are not drilled out for the reverse selector, so one less thing to reassemble.

I just need to know a rough estimate of how much everything will be, so I can find out how long I will have to save up for, and where I should get the stuff from. Thanks.

Boring it .80 isnt gonna make any difference. U need to get more fuel and air through that engine. The head is very restrictive.

Yeah, forgot about the head thanks.

I was suprised what a a cam, 11:1 piston and an opened up intake and exhaust and jetted properly did power wise. Stock bore also.

Like said the bore won't help any that u will notice. Port and polish the head and intake. Add a good cam andup the compression to around 12;1 and add a pipe. If u can get a 400ex carb really helps. Open up the air box and add a uni filter. U will see the difference.

Already got the carb, in my sig. I'm just looking to see how much everything will cost, altogether.

Mods are as follows:

1. Swap tranny into new cases, already have cases (need new gaskets, and whatever else is needed to reassemble tranny)

2. 76 mm bore kit (rings, gasket, etc.)

3. boring

4. hot cam & chain

5. trail port & polish

How much might this all wind up being, just a ballpark estimate?

Prolly over 1,000 bucks. It was 500 to get what I done and it wasn't much at all.

it's .080 not .800 (that would be 800 thousands)

he pretty much speak the truth (although I will disagree on the .080 bore.) With the other mods that .080 over will make a big difference.

as for you original question. If you do all the work yourself then you would be looking at around $500.00 (since you have the carb and casese) if it wasn't for that then r00ster300ex would be close.
