Ok so sometime within the next 2-3 months i will be purchasing a new quad and i know that i am going to buy a honda trx 450r. But i need some help... I think i can get my hands on a brand new, never ridden 2009 kickstart only model but i dont know if i should buy that or just get the 2012 model. I dont know if the 2012 has kick and elec. start and if i do get the 2012 will the addition 17+ lbs. from the elec. start and battery be enough weight to effect me on the track. Please help!!!

you might wanna wait till 2013 when the EFI 450r comes out but yeah 17lbs is a lot of weight. If your doing mx generally people use the kicker and when they do xc they get the battery because there is a higher chance of stalling out in xc

i dont want to wait that long, its either going to be the 09 or the 2012... i think im gonna take the 09... even though i like the white plastic and orange frame red is my favorite color and ill save money that i can put toward upgrades if i can find an 09!
