View Full Version : Gulf mexico sunk ship

10 Years ago I took this pic 2-3 hours out into the gulf of mexico. Was a good fishing spot. Is it still there and is there any story on the ship? Im right over sunken ship.

Its probably a diver training ship that sunk and they lifted one end up or its stuck on some reef.

there are literally thousands of ships sunk in the gulf.

some on purpose for diving and to make man made reefs,if it was in water under 100-200 feet its probably a artificial reef wreck, and some from ww11 some of those from U-boats and some just hit reefs, and sunk

if you have a rough idea of a gps location or latitude and longitude you can possibly find info on the wrecks in that area.

what port did you leave from and what direction did you go.and how deep was the water, it might help narrow down your search, the gulf is a big area..

be a little more specific on location, and im sure it can be located

Yeah I don't remember any of that stuff it's so long ago all I know is we left from a spot in Louisiana and by the ship there were a zillion bun size jelly fish all over and smelled like like watermelon some times by the ship. :confused:

somebody has to know which part of the gulf smells like watermelon c'mon guys:D
