I've got a Ct 310 jug with a billet exhaust flange and I'm looking for replacement o-rings-where the pipe slides on the outside. Got any suggestions? Thanks

I just measured an aluminum flange I have here on my desk and it looks like its cut for -135 size o-rings but double check yours to make sure it is the same. You can order them here: Silicone O-Rings (http://www.allorings.com/cgi-bin/CatalogMgr.pl?cartID=b-5842&SearchField=category&SearchFor=Silicone+O-Rings&template=Htx/order_silicone.htx&hdr=Order+Silicone+O-Rings&displayNumber=369)

I've heard some people having problems with the Silicone o-rings melting at the exhaust flange. Silicone has a maximum working temperature of 400 Fahrenheit, but exhaust temperatures can easily exceed 1000F. That doesn't mean all exhaust components reach those kinds of temperatures, your muffler certainly isn't that hot, but the exhaust flange is right at the exhaust port, it's probably the hottest part on your quad aside from your piston.

They do indeed have other compounds that have better heat capability than Silicone, but they get pretty expensive. Kalrez o-rings have a working temperature 50% higher than silicone (600 degrees F), but while Silicone o-rings are about $2 each, Kalrez is about $125 each. :eek2:
