stage 6 clutch help!!!! please

just got a stage 6 clutch and have one part that i don't know where it goes, its a retaining ring that is about 2.3 inches in diameter and it fits the stall spring perfectly i believe it is supposed to go against the clutch opposite of the pulley to keep it from moving around?

Place the ring groove over the torque spring and it goes against the back of the clutch. NOT against the pulley

that peice is to align as well as letting the spring move and not bind
mallosi and others make a better choice and they do make the T. spring last longer!
