ok so, i just bought a 1989 trx250r that is built like no other, for 1200, he threw in a bunch of parts, it started when i was at the guys house getting it, but now it wont run, it will start but wont stay running for more than 10-15 seconds....its got spark, its got compression, its got fuel, is the float messed up? so its getting fuel, then it wont get enough to stay running? or anything like that, any help or input is needed..thank you

Does she just not idle or won't run after 10 15 sec on it . If she just don't idle could be a lot of things . Most peoples bikes don't idle

it has a 270 paul turner motor in it(not sure on waht all is done to it), full fmf exhaust, suspension, a arms, swing arm, axle, rims, extra paul turner exhaust system, k&n filter, currently the plastics are all off, i got brand new boots, jersey and pants, extra bars, all for 1200$

but she doesnt run after 10-15 seconds...il start it after 1 slow kick, then give it 2 fast kicks and shell start right up, but when i rev it after more than 3 times it will bog then eventually die out

Almost seems like bad electrical

check your wiring and ground.ive had close to the same problem but mine would run and then start to bog down and then shut off.ended up being a eletical problem
other then that your bike looks sweet.nice parts.id just throw some powdercoat on it and make her shine!

shes gettin rebuilt this winder gonna go through the motor, and powder coat the frame, get new wheels, tires, put the paul turner exhaust on it, rebild the silencer...etc...were gonna have out work cut out for us
