RPM XC AXLE (-2/+1) Group Buy?

Hey Guys,

I just ordered a Carrier from RPM and told them I had an XC Axle. I was talking to Blake and asked why they quit producing them? They said there was not enough interest for it to be a stocked item.

He did say if enough people wanted them, they might be able to do a limited run. Im not sure how many people would have to order (5-20), or the price (probably around $400 with a LIFETIME warranty).

Atleast they didnt shoot the idea down right away! So i figured i would post and see if anyone is interested. I know the XC Axles are getting harder to find.

How could they warranty them if they were discontinued?

You'd have to find out how many. 5 might be doable, 20 not likely.

I have a brand new XC axle I bought when they discontinued them. Shoulda bought 2.

If you bend it, you send it back to them and they straighten it..

Axles get weaker and weaker as they are bent and straitened. I wonder what they would do if you broke one.

I just had a 5 minute conversation, im sure they would have to work out all the final details... I am just trying to pass the info along if anyone was interested.

I am sure they would make you one if it snapped. That said, I've never seen an RPM do that. :ermm:

That's why they are the BEST, hands down. I thought the XC axles were +1 to +3?

Exactly. I bought a used one a few years ago that was slightly bent and it was fairly cheap to have them straighten it for me. Good guys over there.

Yep, agree. That's what I have always run. Sometimes hitting a nice whoops section on a track will take the wobble out of the axle, you have to hit them pretty fast though.... :D

I already have one, they're badass. If you can break an RPM XC axle, then you wrecked pretty hard.

I agree 100%!

They are -2 to +1. I think you can get around 44" - 47" with the axle. I would have to measure again.
