any one know if 400ex nerfbars will work on a 300ex. Looking for nerfs with heelgaurds don't want to spend 500 on rath's right now. or any other with slight mods

Depends on what kind you're planning on buying. As far as my pro-armour nerfs for my 400ex, they would be really wide off the 300 and you might run into trouble with the front wheeler rubbing. So no on Pro-Armours.
