Anyway. It's been a year and im almost done restoring my 89 trx. It's a rolling chassis at the moment. Misc. things like plates and plastics and nerfs need to go on plus electric and then im finally done. Anyway, my old 89 stock swingarm had a skidplate which was removed obviously. As some of you may know i picked up a Laeger swingarm for 39 dollars, powdercoated it for 75 and then had an issue with the old bearing but got that sorted out. Now my question, the "new" swingarm does not have mounting holes for the skid plate like the OEM did. Is there any way i can adapt this or am i missing something. Thanks guys.http://img687.imageshack.us/img687/1006/28648925746011093941310.jpg http://img827.imageshack.us/img827/7570/28659925746021427273610.jpg http://img269.imageshack.us/img269/1581/29040625746027093939710.jpg http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/1936/72577163270923691666100.jpg

The laeger swinger you have sounds like a mx version...it most likely has a few bolts to run the old laeger rotor gaurd only for mx. If you want to run a full swinger skid for xc, then you will need to send it to mark and have him add the mounts. A member helped me with the same issue and Mark was resonable $$$ with adding the mounts...sorry but your new powder will be toasted if you have them welded on.

Or you could find/make one of the old rotor gaurds and bolt it on. Its light and will prevent rotor damage.
