Id try the spal fan first, it works very well. Im trying to find someone who can install the FST oil cooler on mine

if you're looking for the absolute best in cooling, then the FST cooler is the way to go. it is somewhat involved, but if you have basic knowledge of using drills and taps, you can probably do it. give the spal fan a try first though, because one little screw up and your clutch cover is toast.

Did you install yours? I am more concerned about where to drill the holes more than anything!

It seems like their website isnt up dated very often, so prices may be different

if you simply find an oil cooler that will fit on the front frame rails, it would not be hard to do it yourself. all it takes is two AN-6 fittings, i believe 3/8 hose, a drill, a tap, and the cooler.

Who's got pics of the completed setup on the bike?

Curious as to how clean the setup looks.

The thing with the FST cooler is that the oil has less lubrication when it is hot and it is more important to lubricate the bottom end of the quad first then the top because the rocker arms don't need as this oil as the bottom. What do you guys think?

Pipeless416
12-06-2011, 05:47 PM
you're right in half of your comment. yes, oil does break down quicker under higher heat, however there's a lot more to the top end than just the rocker arms. don't forget about the cam lobes and bearings. i wouldn't necessarily say one part is more important than the other. a lack of oil to either the top or bottom end can cause catastrophic failure in any engine. however, the FST setup does not change how much oil either section is getting.. so i'm not quite sure where you were going with that comment...?

Well I just thought lubricating the bottom would be more important, im not sure though.

not quite sure. i didn't get the chance to jet it correctly. it pulled pretty well until it stumbled all over the place because the main is too rich.

This is outta the blue, but every G-Force axle I've seen has the sticker on upside down and backwards, what is up with that? Those dual HMFs with that red /black color setup looks nasty.

djwilliams0822
12-06-2011, 09:53 PM
Its not upside down and backwards until it is flipped that way if you spin it it gets right
