XR 250 cdi on 400ex

I was reading on another forum that this will eliminate the reverse limiter, allow starting in reverse, and raise the rev limiter 800 rpms. Has anyone tried this?

after a quick look at the wiring schematic, if you use the xr cdi it appears you will also loose the clutch safety, neutral light and switch and reverse light, along with the reverse safety....

why not just cut the green wire at the cdi for the safety circuit on the 400ex cdi, it looks like it will do the same thing only without loosing the dash lights, i only have a diagram for the 99 ex and the 300 ex ...

but if you can get me the right wiring schematic, for the newer ex with reverse limits, i can highlight exactly what wires need to be removed or jumped to completely bypass the reverse anti start limit

Or you could just buy a Big Gun rev box, they eliminate it also. But I guess if you don't want to pay $130 for one then take DnB's advice.
