Has anyone ever ran the boyesen quickshot 3? How does the 450 perform with it? I'm interested in it. My dealer has one for a 100 bucks. Worth it or not?
Thanks!

Thanks! nop!!!!! not worth 100 compared to a 5 dollar leak jet and a/c pump adjustment
I have the boyesen quick shot 3 accelerator pump with adjustbale leak jet on my crf carb with crf motor obivously. semmed to definatley help with throttle response always ran boyesens acceleraotr pumps on all my race bikes really helps with throttle response. But it wont cure inaccuarte jetting you still have to tune ur bike to get the full performance from it
can almost see it in this picture

I run the QSII. Definite increase in throttle response, and it eliminates bog by richening the bottom end of throttle. In conjunction with proper jetting as stated, leak jet, and adj needle - and green wire mod - sweet affordable setup.

I have the R&D version. It does make for a fast and easy adjustment of the leak jets. You can really fine tune the accelerating bog. It is a luxury, not a necessity.

Most people adjusting the carb don't do any leak jet adjustment or a/c pump adjustment. I've fixed several quads that the owners couldn't quite get jetted properly doing the extra mods that you do when installing the HRC kit. The HRC kit isn't just a change in needle and main jet folks.

its the small details that are way too often over looked, or just ignored, that make the biggest difference in performance!

I don't think they are really needed either. I ran one, but didn't notice a difference. In 09 I tried an R&D powerbowl and took it off before I ever rode it. Couldn't get it running right. Went all back to stock including pilot screw and never ran better.
