Ok so here it is, I have been riding quads since i was 6 years old. Right now the only quad i own is a 2003 honda foreman 450. But, i want to get into racing, i have a friend who has multiple racing quads(3 trx 450r and 1 trx 400ex) and his own private track. He has let me ride his quads many times and i have even raced one of them on a local MX track. With very limited experience i managed 6th out of 15 riders! So now im wanting to build my own quad and race with it but i dont know what kind to buy. And unlike my friend my daddy isny going to pay for this quad and all the parts. Ive done research on the Suzuki LTR 450, Honda TRX 450r, and the YFZ 450. I have only ridden the TRX 450r. What ive learned about each of these machines is this: The TRX 450r has the most reliable engine but requires alot more work to make it race ready, the YFZ 450 is faster and requires almost nothing to make it race ready but has a less reliable engine, and lastly, the LTR 450 is the cheapest and is also very race ready but i could not find anything on exactly how the Suzuki stacks up against the 450r and YFZ450. Right now im leaning more towards the YFZ450 but i still have alot of time to decide. So, if anyone has experience with all 3 of these machines or can tell me any of the pros or cons of any of these machines i would really appreciate it! Any and all feedback is welcome and very much appreciated! THANK YOU ALL!

Long Live Motocross!

The YFZ is a great quad but can be pretty technical when repairs need to be made. The hondas are easy for the most part to work on and parts are always accessible. Go with a honda.

Go with the honda, so much more reliable than the rest, and 10 times easier to mod than a yamaha or suzuki.
