416 trade help.

ive got my ol 300ex on craigslist and a guy texted me las night wantin to trade his 416 with a dg pipe and jets. mines got alot of aftermarket but the reason im selling is to get a 400. now i know that the 416 has plenty more power than the 300,i just wanna know if getting a 416 will sacrifice the reliability of my 300? oh,an hes wantin to trade becuase the 416 is too big for his wife

Should be fine if it was built and jetted right. Id want receipts if possible and look over the atv and see how it was maintained, all beat up looking Id pass b/c you know he didnt take care of it.

^^ Agreed. It all depends on how and who built the bike and if routine maintenance was done. If it is in good shape I'd jump on it. 400ex's are VERY reliable if built right.

ok thanks guys. plastics are PERFECT. he says that t and t in bardstown built it about 3 weeks ago so its not even broke in. i still gotta break it in and adjust the valves but it looks like its barely been rode. ithink ima get him to come letme see it in person this weekend
