picked up a 2006 450ER with a full HRC kit, nerfs, bars, bumper, grab bar, filter, paddles. im in love with the thing! its like a rocket and loves to wheelie its sweeeet! definately should be able to trail and dune with it. the powr is amazing and i love the ergonomics. great bike for a great deal :D i feel like im not gonna need any motor work for awhile maybe suspension...hmm..

one thing to make sure of ....DONT TOUCH THROTTLE WHEN STARTING!!!give it a pump or two before, but no gas when pushing button, the starter clutch can get damaged if giving gas,

congratulations, just keep it maintained with fresh oil and clean air filter, and you will have many hours of enjoyment

thanks chronic! and atleast it isnt a 6pack rack haha, its perfect for picking it up towing people and tipping it on its back so i like it. im 146 5'11 and i can put this thing on its back. alot lighter then my 400 it feels!

I would definitely put the effort in the suspension before I did a thing the the motor.

Nice looking quad though. Have fun!!

yupp! waiting to wear the stockers out to get some razr's or somthing along those lines. already have some front razrs to put on, but im mostly a sand rider due to my family even though i enjoy woods wayyyyy more. might try a little mx but mostly save that for the CR.
