Has anyone used teh Pro Fab 385 kit for the 300ex. I am getting mine installed when the rest of my bearings and parts come in. I wanted to know about the power increase and what rod was used. I cannot find a Hot Rod.

The kit cost $350.00 plus labor that I'm having done by PGR Racing. I also have to install an oil kit. I'm gonna use a chevy transmission cooler. This is only slightly more than a 330 kit so I figure what the hell. I had a 330 kit that blew up and they don't make an oversized piston, so I went bigger instead of buying a new 330.

if i were you i would do a stroker just my opion though. but be prepared to spend anywhere from 800-1400 dollars to have a good stroker engine built.

Its only 150.00, there full race port is 375.00.

I beleive he is prob gonna either regrind my valves or replace them also. they have a good bit of wear on them around the seats. he is supposed to call tomorrow

yz, be careful, i just got my head back from them and within 1 minute after starting the first time the valves let go (retainers) and destroyed the motor.....im still waiting to see what theyll do about it, but just check everything over real well if you assembling it yourself..you probably already know this anyway but just in case
