Well i seem to have an ongoing question about whether i should move to a 450 for next year or not. My quad is pretty much race ready (400ex in sig) wondering if its worth finishing it off and racing it again next year or just save for a 450. I know for sure i wouldn't be getting any of my money back out of it. Hate to sell it though and buy a basket case 450. If i do keep it any other mods or parts you guys would recommend that wont hurt the bank?

heres the deal i figure (example) you have 5000 in your bike and not to insult you but the way 450s are youd be lucky to get 3000 out of it. like me i have 4000 in mine and be lucky to get 2500. so if you are a good racer and like the 400 keep it and race on . because its hard to build a 450 up on a low budget and the matnince is way more on the 450 and ive seen you kill 450s at the track!:D

I live in Canada so bikes go for a little more but yeah your right. Cant get your money back out of some toys. If i got a 450 it would be already built. No way can i afford to put 12g into a bike. Not that big of a racer. lol

yeah but its hard to get enuf out of a 400 to get a built 450 maybe a 450 with a pipe and shocks but yeah i love my old 400 but i want a 450 it just seems like 400's dont fit in at the track with a bunch of 450s lol

clean stock bikes go for more than modded out ones. mildy modded 450s are cheap.

Why fit in? Id rather stand out :P

Same here but i dont wanna 450 to fit in. I want it for the power!
