Nothing missed as far as I've heard from everyone who runs one.

Add a 450r carb and a stage 1 cam, and you will have it running about as good as it can get on a stock piston.

I also will be doing the sparks key this weekend. It seems so straight forward and Ron that awesome write up is so helpful.

about the only warnings I can suggest is to take your time, keep your work area clean.

Prepare a piece of cardboard with a diagram of the side case bolts, BEFORE you begin. as the bolts are removed, place them in the respective holes in your cardboard.
This will ensure you are re-installing the bolts back into their proper holes.

Use the proper tools, and pay attention to what you are doing.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, when re-installing the flywheel, use a proper torque wrench on the flywheel bolt, and use proper torquing methods.

lastly, BE CAREFUL when re-installing the side case bolts. They will strip out VERY easily, if you over tighten them.
If you do not have the mechanical experience to do these by "Hand" or "Feel" ,..... use a torque wrench that is calibrated in INCH POUNDS.

DO NOT USE A TORQUE WRENCH THAT IS CALIBRATED IN FOOT POUNDS, ON THE SIDE CASE BOLTS.

For those folks who may not know,... 12 in. lbs. = 1 ft. lb.

hope this helps.
good luck, and enjoy your improved throttle response. :D

It only took me 35min to do mine. It will go easy just be sure to clean the old gasket off good. That's the hardest part of the job I think.

sounds like it went very well.
Have you had a chance to try it out ?

Yeah it has more snap on the the low end. I'm still falling flat on the highend some. I will remove my air box lid and go up a jet or two on my main.

How much of a difference does the key make? Did it help with acceleration at all?

Yeah it did. Throttle response is much better and helps with lowend. Its a cheap way to wake it up some.

thankfully there havent been many jet threads that are needing to be answered. the few that have came across either get directed to my link or they get help from others. lol

my typing is almost 100% again so im good to go. im probably 10 or 15 words short of where i was before i broke my hand. lol so im still good at around 50-60 wpm depending on the sentence. hahaha
