Tether Kill switch

I am putting on ASV levers and I have to remove the Headlight/Kill/Start switch. I got a dirt bike kill switch and hooked it up, bike works good. I hooked up the headlight to run on high and low beams, bike runs good. Put when I hooked up the new kill switch the quad does not start, (the solenoid just clicks). I jumpered the two wires that went into the original kill switch and the quad starts right up. I have a Gunner Closed circuit kill switch (a closed switch is specified by Dynatek). any suggestions?

Further tested all the connections and decided that the kill switch had to be defective, (the original packaging was open when I purchased, they gave me $10.00 off the purchase price because of that). I returned the kill switch, hooked up the wires directly, and am good to go. I am planning on putting on a kill switch later though.
