I looked online at a 460 stroker kit, and i am thinking deeply about it instead of getting a 450r. How will this stroker kit compare to 450s. Like will it stay with modded 450s and stuff?

Yes you could stay with or beat 450s, but why bother.
The 400 and 450 are to totally different animals. If your going to do anything with the 400 other than drag race it why put so much money in it?? If you start with a 450r and do mild work you will have a really fast and reliable machine but still be able to trail ride it with no problems.

The 450 is also more maintenance than the 400 but as long as you keep everything in check there not really any less reliable.

Well ya know. I never thought of that. Lol,i could sell the 400 and with the money i was gonna buy the stroker kit with i could buy a mild 450r.

hmm.. stroke a 400ex to make it about as fast as a stock-mild 450r.. sacrificing the reliability that the 400ex is known for..

Don't make sense to me..

IF you want to race, AND be competative.. you'll want a 450.

More potential and more reliable when pushing 47+ ponies

If you want to race your 400ex to get tha hang of racing/develop skills, dont throw wads of cash at the engine and leave the suspension stock. 250 Raptors with set up suspension will be passing you haha

Mod the suspension and make a reliable 416-426.
