I have a pair of slightly used Elka Piggy Back Shocks up for grabs. These shocks worked great for me on 88 stock length A-arms with washers they were just a little stiff (I weigh 165). I also had them on my 400ex for a few short rides with the same result. Each shock has a small blemish that could be touched up. I'm going to a longer A- arm setup and will have no use for these. They are 15 1/2 inches, dual rate, and 30 click compression adjustable. $385 + shipping.

will these work on a 86 with oem a-arms?

Yeah I had them mounted on my 88 with no problems. These are for a 400ex so the bottom mount is a little smaller and you can just take up the space with washers. Heres a picture of them mounted.

Unfortunately I don't know what they are valved for, i'm the second owner and the guy I bought them from didn't give me all the information. Generally Elkas aren't valved very specifically from the factory which is fine for a normal rider. If you were to get them revalved for your weight and riding style they would be competitive with all of the top dollar shocks.
