what all things do I need to replace my starter brushes? is there any other hardware I need to purchase

thats what i did- i let them do it- $75.00
and i knew what was wrong with it-
take your starter with you and show them what the brushes look like- tell em'that what you need and- there ya' go-
that should be all you need-

I just rebuilt a Yamaha warrior starter. These starters are very simple. Just watch how it all comes apart. Don't mix up any washer or anything.
You can go to somewhere like www.ronnies.com and look up the oem parts for that starter. Usually just replacing the bushes is sufficient. You may have to clean up the stator (where the brushes ride) with some very fine sand paper. Was everything out with electric or brake parts cleaner. Regrease the bushing on the end and put it back together and you should be in good shape. If you have any questions feel free to drop me any email. I hope this helped you.
