Hello All,

I have only had the ATV out twice this summer. Took it out this morning and the throttle is very sluggish, very slow to come back to the closed position, and I was afraid to ride it like that.

Is there a way to lubricate the cable? When I slide the boot on the cable back at the handlebar and at the carb, I can see no way to get to the actual cable to lube it.

I did not pull the little box apart at the handlebar, as I did not know what it might look like, maybe springs come flying out?

Thanks for any help.

Pull the top cover off of the box on the handlebar and take some WD40 or PB and spray it down hole where the cable goes. Then work it in by moving the throttle. Had to do that to my 400ex once every few months.

Had to leave it overnight, but it worked out great.

Thanks for the help!

No problem. That is what we are here for.
