whining noise

my 01ex runs great but there is a whining noise i was wondering if it means my timing chain is loose or needs replaced any imput would be great thank you

Its very common, dont worry about it.

More info would help. It's most likly timing chain rubbing on the plastic things that hold it up when you take your cam off. I wouldn't bother but if you take your head off there's two black things on both sides of timing chain there easy to get in and out.

Are you sure the noise isn't coming from above the seat, and behind the handlebars ???

Check all your brake pads, if they are wore down and its just the metal plates rubbing against your rotor, it could cause a whining type sound.

Just something to check before you tear your motor apart.

Oh ic isnt that just the intake

Mine whines quiter than that, but i think its cool. Sounds like a turbos hooked up on it hahaha
