I was riding my bike on the track and it was over heating I took my bumper off and it cooled down significantly.

Today I was riding my bike around the house without the bumper I could not get the bike to go over 150 degrees.

I installed the bumper and my riding temp went up to 185 degrees and wouldn't go any lower.

is there anyway around this? I love this bumper the best looking in my opinion.

Do you have a radiator guard at all?

I had the same problem, I cut my screen out and it solved the problem. Heres a pic if your wondering what it looks like.
Dnt mind the ditch which tires for xc.

its not as nice with the screen gone. is there anyway to drill out the holes a little bigger or to cut across in a line where the holes are?

Is that why AC quit making those bumpers? Make a new screen for it.

185 degrees is not over heated just fyi I would run my bike hard all day long and not even worry about it if it stayed a 185. Keep in mind its been on average 100+ degrees out for the last month and everything runs hotter! I cant get my 330r to stay under 200 in this weather and ive switched to engine ice and its jetted fat. I kno plenty of people that run there bikes at 175-185 consistantly w no problems! I wouldnt sweat it

Maybe a hood scoop or a set of aftermarket radiator shrouds would bring temps down enough to allow you to run your bumper.

I had the same problem with my DG national bumper. Bike over heated and i removed it and now it never gets over 150 degrees. Maybe adding a fan would be a good option for you if your dead set on keeping that bumper.
